Microsoft posted this handful of screenshots from that Xbox 360 exclusive RPG fans have been clamoring about. These screens aren’t showing the best side of Fable 2, but that could be just me.
Fable 2 debuts later this year on October 21st.

Unlike Microsoft and Nintendo, who chose not to go up on stage to sing and dance, Sony put on somewhat of an interesting press conference which included games and a fair bit of hardware announcements. And since anything SCEE said at Leipzig pertained to Europe alone, SCEA put up a blog post detailing the North American version.
Here’s the breakdown:
PlayStation 3 with 160 GB Hard Drive
The Xbox 360 controller, arguably the greatest dual analog controller, is inching closer to perfection with an upcoming d-pad redesign. The new d-pad will sport an eight way input instead of the four way input used now. IGN UK have said it’s proving to be more ‘tactile’ with a larger rocker supporting the d-pad.
Fighting game fans, like myself, welcome the change as the current Xbox 360 d-pad is just awful for those kinds of games. Now we just need a way to distinguish between old models and new models. Oh, and pricing and availability would also be nice.
Here are three screenshots from Fallout 3. They’re for the Games Convention event, but if you told me they were from E3 2008, I would have believed you as well.
