I haven’t touched Street Fighter IV in quite some time, but I will tell you this: I will be picking Super Street Fighter IV.
I enjoy Street Fighter IV, but I’ll enjoy it even more with Cody, Guy and Adon in the mix! The latest issue of Famitsu has the grand reveal for those who wish to see the scans.
The Street Fighter IV roster already resembles much of the Street Fighter Alpha roster, so to see these three characters returning makes me wish they would go ahead and rename this Street Fighter Alpha 4.
But who cares what it’s called. So far we’ve got Dee Jay, T. Hawk, Juri, Cody, Adon and Guy; that’s six new characters. And if those rumors prove to, there could be four more characters to be revealed. Who knows? Perhaps the next set will feature some Street Fighter III characters.
This week’s Famitsu magazine was filled with brilliant news; the most significant being the announcement of Valkyria Chronicles 2 for the PlayStation Portable. Sweet.
I would have loved if the sequel was on the PlayStation 3, but just having a sequel is more than I was expecting.
The sequel will take place two years after the first game and will star a new hero, Avan Hardence. Apparently, it’ll borrow a few touches from Persona’s Japanese school-life style of RPG and merge it with the combat system of the first game. No release date as of yet.
Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 will feature online co-op missions
Dragon Quest IX scored a perfect 40 point score (10/10/10/10) — the tenth perfect score in the magazine’s history
Katamari Forever (Tribute in North America) scored 33 points (9/8/8/8); best Katamari game of the series!
I’ll most likely be picking up NG Sigma 2 at a lower price point and the same goes with Katamari Tribute. Dragon Quest IX? I tried to play VIII on PS2, but, at the time, it bored me to tears. Perhaps the experience will be different on the Nintendo DS.

King of Fighters XII Debuting Worldwide in Summer 2009
It may only show the PlayStation 3 logo at the end, however Shane Bettenhausen (Former 1UP/EGM editor) of Ignition Entertainment clarified a few things via the following press release:
Update: ‘Grapplers Pack’ aka ‘Brawler Pack’ will be included in the Collector’s Edition. Sadness. In addition, the “day one” patch was a mistranslation and will actually arrive at a later date.
I’m not condoning this trend, but I will “go with the flow” with this one. Just this one time. The Street Fighter IV downloadable content plans have been revealed through this week’s Famitsu magazine. Here is what you can get over the next few weeks:
Grapplers Pack – Zangief, E. Honda, Rufus, Abel, El Fuerte – Feb. 12
It looks like that mysterious formula which Konami put out has been decyphered.
Kojima wanted us to wait a few weeks to find out what the tease was all about, but crafty folks have uncovered a Famitsu magazine scan showing what looks like a Metal Gear game running on iPod Touch or iPhone hardware.
Here’s hoping that this is a legitimate effort by Kojima and company if all of this turns out to be true.
Oh look, twenty two jaw dropping screenshots of Capcom’s Resident Evil 5. If you can’t tell, it’s from the Xbox 360 build. Also, if you can’t tell, some of these were resized from ungodly resolutions. Either way, the game looks great and with the the “Gears-like” interface confirmed, I’m super excited.
The screenshots below were released after their debut in the latest Famitsu magazine issue.
