Are these new? I can never tell with sports game media. Anyways, nine screenshots from the PS3/Xbox 360 build of NBA LIVE 09. The theme for this batch? It’s showcasing members of the NBA’s younger generation.
Looks alright. I’m just wondering how it plays at this point.

I’m not the biggest football aficionado, but I do know what looks good and these screenshots of Madden NFL 09 aren’t exactly eye popping to me.
But, what do I know? You judge for yourselves with these eight new screenshots.

Those of you who care for BioWare’s Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic may be pleased to know that an MMO spin off of KOTOR is coming. I can’t say I’m excited for two reasons:
- I never played KOTOR
- I not a fan of MMORPGs.
No further details were divulged.

Electronic Art’s press conference wasn’t filled with fireworks, but there was one noticeable piece of news: id Software is leaving Activision for Electronic Arts. Their first product together will be the id Tech 5 based game called RAGE.
Not many details, but there was a trailer which we can’t see yet.

DICE’s Mirror’s Edge really caught my eye when I saw the first trailer a few months ago. It’s slick, clean and colorful appearance was a wonderful break from the grunge and darkness of other games out there. Unfortunately, details were scarce at the time, but today 1UP put a nice preview with a bit more details on how the gameplay will work along with the premise of the game.
It’s worth a read or watch:

The former console exclusive spinoff is making its way to the PC. And why not? It’s a Sims game and that’s pretty much synonmous with the PC platform anyways. The console original wasn’t well received and viewed by a many as an “Animal Crossing” ripoff. The PC port will now include online play for that added incentive to buy/re-buy. Anyways, I’m sure there’s an audience for this somewhere.
Details via press release and screenshots to follow:

It’s hockey? Yeah, it is. Does it look great? I suppose. I’m don’t follow hockey games and I’ve only played them on SDTVs at social gatherings. (The controls are great, though!) Anyways, these screenshots are for you, hockey fans.

Well somebody forked over a bit of green for this exclusive release window. Rock Band 2 is coming first to Xbox 360 and later this year for the PS3. Other platforms? Unknown at this time. Looks like Harmonix is doing a lot of things right with their sequel.
Head below for the full press release:
