So with the death of GFW Radio podcast due to Jeff Green’s and Shawn Elliott’s exit of 1UP, my Wednesdays/Thursdays are now at a loss. There’s a podcast void which will be very difficult to fill. Not just because GFW Radio was such a quality podcast, but because I had a pretty strict podcast schedule.
I’ve been preoccupied with a few things. Mainly these two articles:
Were they difficult to do? No. They were time consuming more than anything else. However, the process of making them has evolved thanks to new additions, ideas and tricks that I’ve learned. Just take a look at the differences between the original articles and the newest editions.
I’ve been patiently awaiting a competitor to the ASUS Eee netbook. Why? So I can be writing stuff like this without actually sitting at my desk. It’s not meant to replace my desktop — merely accompany it. I’ve looked at the MSI Wind, the Acer Aspire One and the ASUS Eee line, but I just couldn’t commit to any of them. Then Dell shows up with their Inspiron Mini 9.
So I’ve been on quite the movie blitz lately. Correction. I’ve been on quite the Blu-ray movie blitz lately. Since last Saturday I’ve been watching one Blu-ray per day. Here’s the breakdown with ratings. Keep in mind I’ve watched these movies before:
Took the day off and went to see the Doctor and was prescribed some “Apo-Omerprazole” which will hopefully ease my stomach woes. Anyways, it’s been happening for six days, and I thought it was about time to address it. Am I feeling better right now? A little bit.

Lots of Olympics watching. Canada has yet to deliver. China is doing great and I’m impressed by Michael Phelps. That’s enough Olympics.

And the above is my big to-do list. I’m also working a new feature for the site. Busy, busy. There will also be Olympics watching and some SoulCalibur IV playing.
Last weekend, I was busy playing SoulCalibur IV as a fighter. Starting Monday, however, my brother and I were busy with unlocking hats, boots and other accessories for the character creation system.
Since I am still playing through Persona 3 FES, I created my rendition of Mitsuru Kirijo:
SoulCalibur IV almost didn’t make it for the long weekend, but it made it! Soul Calibur IV is here and so far we’ve unlocked all the significant characters. I’m enjoying the game, but I need to some more time to adjust to the reduced speed and other details.

Thanks to most of the QSF5 crew and their respective significant others for contributing to my first poker win. I was wreckless and made crazy predictions, but in the end it paid off. I’m guessing it had something to do with the raised alcohol levels of the other key players as well. Oh, and the much appreciated beginner’s luck helped as well.
