Elebits: The Adventures of Kai and Zero Coming

Friday, July 4th, 2008

I played Elebits (aka Eledees for Europe) for the Wii. It served as an interesting rummaging simulator. It was overwhelmingly cutesy, but it was still fascinating for an early Wii game. Did I want a sequel? I didn’t even finish the original. Well, somebody wanted a sequel, because Konami is delivering one. On the Nintendo DS, though. Figure that one out.

Details and and screenshots of Elebits 2 follows:

Street Fighter IV’s Animated Trailer

Friday, July 4th, 2008

Take a look at this animated trailer. Yeah, it’s in Japanese, but just watch and listen if you’re interested in Street Fighter IV and its lore.

Ok, now what do we make of this? Are we to expect animated cutscenes? Is Gouki/Akuma to be expected for Street Fighter IV? Can we also expect Gouken?

So many questions, so little answers.

Five Developers Tackle Bioshock for PS3

Friday, July 4th, 2008

I forgot about this yesterday, so here it is:

Why does it take five developers to convert Bioshock to the PS3? I honestly couldn’t tell you. In fact, I can’t recall the last game which was co-developed by more than two developers. Regardless, 2K Games have obviously gone to great lengths to optimize Bioshock for the PS3 and Digital Extremes is a good choice. For more info and fancy talk, check the press release below.

So now that they’ve put worries about technical differences to rest, what about additional content?

Five Too Human Screenshots For Judgement

Friday, July 4th, 2008

While Denis Dyack is galavanting around posting on forums and criticizing them on podcasts, Too Human’s publisher, Microsoft Games Studios, was kind enough to direct our attention to what matters most, the game itself. So here you are kids, five screenshots for your judgement.

Are you ‘for’ or ‘against’ these?

Viva Pinata: Trouble in Paradise Debuting September 5th

Thursday, July 3rd, 2008

Update: September 5th is the UK date. September 2nd is for North America.

It’s a busy Thursday!

I didn’t buy the original, but I did enjoy the demo extensively. I toyed with the idea of buying this Pinata themed resource management game when it hit $19.99 CAD, but I never pulled the trigger. Perhaps this rejuvenated and expanded version, Trouble in Paradise will finally convince me to jump in.

Details via press release below:

Most (if not all) of these screenshots are old if you visit them bigger sites, but for us, at QSF5, they’re new. Enjoy. Oh and these aren’t bullshots and there are about 38 of them.

Enjoy!

Midnight Club: LA Misses September, Coming in October

Thursday, July 3rd, 2008

Rockstar decided that September wasn’t the best time to release their racer. I don’t know why. All I know is that they’ve pushed it a month back into October for the PSP, PS3 and Xbox 360.

Full press release follows.

New inFamous Screens

Wednesday, July 2nd, 2008

Courteousy of the PlayStation Blog comes a trio of screenshots from Sucker Punch’s inFamous. Not much is known about it. All I can recall is this debut trailer which included lots of ‘force lightning’ and parkour. I also get this game and Prototype mixed up.

I guess I could pick up the July issue of GameInformer if I was desperate for info.
