Crappy XBLA games to be removed. No Spring Dashboard update
An interview with Next-gen.biz revealed a handful of interesting Xbox 360 tidbits. First, the removal of underperformning XBLA games. I like this move. XBLA games which are selling poorly and have a Metacritic score of 65 or less will be delisted from the Marketplace. Good. It’ll be easier for new comers to find the gems.
Second, there’s no Spring Dashboard update. Not a huge loss for me since the dashboard was much improved with last year’s fall update.
Lastly, there will be a DRM tool to re-license XBLA games to another console so users do not have to sign onto Xbox Live! just to play their XBLA games. That’s great for those who’ve replaced their consoles.
