April Fools’ Day 2008

April Fools’ Day brings out the silliest things on the net. Here are some of the gaming and technology oriented ones I stumbled across today:

• YouTube – RickRoll. Every featured movie on the front page pointed to Rick Astley’s video.
• StarCraft 2 – Tauren Marine
• World of Warcraft -Bard Hero
• Assassin’s Solid – A gameplay video was released with Solid Snake dressed up like Ubisoft’s Altair from Assassin’s Creed. I hope that costume is in Metal Gear Solid
• IGN – The Legend of Zelda Movie Trailer
• X-Box Live! The Board Game and others.
• Allakhazam – Final Fantasy XI changed to Hello Kitty Online Adventures.
• ThinkGeek – Betamax to HD DVD converter. The video has an additional prank.
