Yoda and Darth Vader to appear in Soul Calibur 4
Publisher Namco Bandai announced that the next Soul Calibur coming to Xbox 360 and PS3 this summer will feature Darth Vader as an unlockable playable character exclusively on the PS3 version and Yoda to be exclusive to the Xbox 360.
Soul Calibur II had Spawn for the Xbox and Link for the Gamecube, so the announcement of non-standard characters is not surprising. But it will be interesting to see how medieval weapons are able to withstand the blow of a light saber. I guess their weapons could be magical, which would make sense since Soul Calibur’s weapons often seem to leave a color trailing off when they swing their weapons quickly.
It is a shame that we wont be able to have Yoda and Darth square off against each other. That would be epic. Also, this is the first time any Star Wars characters have appeared in a fighting game since the 1997 Lucas Arts game Star Wars: Masters of Teräs Käsi for PSX.

“$5 says the other character will be available for downloadable content sometime post release though.”
I don’t see why they wouldn’t once the game is out there.
